Lucky Dragon Mahjong is a new-style pattern-based scoring system with an additive classic-style point table. The rules are divided into seven sections. The rules are listed below with default values. The Lucky Dragon Mahjong scorecard allows for adjusting the value of every rule to the user's preference.
Notes:
NH - No Honors is implied.
NS - No Sequences is implied.
CO - Fully Concealed and Had One Option are implied.
A sequence is three tiles on one suit of sequential numbers.
A triple is three tiles in one suit of the same number.
A quad is four tiles in one suit of the same number.
Exposed is an element formed by melding with a discarded tile.
An element is a pair, sequence, triple, or quad.
A wait is a single tile required to complete a hand.
A waiting hand is a hand that lacks one tile to be completed.
Concealed is an element formed by only self-drawn tiles.
Matched is two same elements of the same number(s).
Progressive is a consistent step of numbers between elements.

The Lucky Dragon Mahjong scorecard is software compatible with Microsoft Windows operating systems that keeps score for mahjong matches using the Lucky Dragon Mahjong scoring rules.

Below is a snapshot of the main interface:

At the bottom of the interface is the tile entry buttons:
The right side contains the control buttons and winner/discarder selection:

Match is a field to enter the match name. A match consists of four rounds. If you want to keep score over more than one match, you can add a match using the Add Match button, and the arrows below the Match field select which match to view or enter scores for.

Round navigates which round of the match to view or enter scores for. Hand navigates which hand of the match to enter scores for.

The Players button opens a list of the players in the game and tabulates their score and various statistics such as hands won and hands discarded. This list can be kept open at the same time as the main interface.

The Rules button opens a list of the rules tabulated above with examples and fields to adjust the value of each rule. This list can be kept open at the same time as the main interface.

The Help button opens an extensive series of help pages which explain usage of the Lucky Dragon Mahjong software and scoring rules. These pages can be kept open at the same time as the main interface.

The Back button serves to erase entered tiles from right to left. The BACKSPACE key on the keyboard serves the same function. The New Match button starts a new clear match. The Load Match button opens a dialog to load a previously saved match. The Quit button quits the application. There is no need to save matches because they are automatically saved with every modification.

The Winner and Discarder buttons are used to select which seat was the winner or discarder.

The top of the interface lists the top four scores and which players are in the game:

The Lucky Dragon Mahjong software allows for more than four players in a match.

The center of the interface is where the winning hand is entered:

The Concealed button is selected to enter or erase the concealed portion of the hand. The Exposed button is selected to enter or erase the exposed portion of the hand. The Flowers button is selected to enter or erase flower tiles in the hand. Each Flower Tile in the tile entry buttons enters flowers from each of the two types.

Below the tiles is a list of buttons for selected incidental scores. Below that is a listing of the scoring elements of the hand. Below that is the total points of the hand and the points won or lost in the hand for each player in the game.
